AHS supports learning at all stages of life, offering programs that range from preschool for toddlers to computer classes for senior citizens, and every age in between.
Trellus Adult Education
The adult education program, also known as LEAF (Literacy Education for Adults and Families), provides a wide range of courses to meet the needs of adult learners from all backgrounds. Our free programming includes both morning and evening English as a Second Language (ESL) classes in multiple modalities (in-person, virtual, and hybrid), three levels of community-based computer literacy classes, and U.S. Citizenship.
For more advanced English language learners and job seekers, the ECHO Program, our work-focused curriculum, offers non-credit courses in Early Childhood Education, Information Technology (IT), Healthcare, and digital skill preparation for the modern office environment. These courses not only give students the language skills and information needed to look for entry-level work in their chosen field, but also help them with resume skills, interviewing, and U.S. workplace culture training.
